Fortnite’s TMNT crossover puts SF6 to shame

It has become commonplace for pretty much any and all live-service titles to crossover with other franchises – be it gaming or otherwise. That said, Fortnite’s collabs tend to be a cut above the rest, especially when it comes to the skins they sell. The latest crossover sees the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles come to Fortnite – and unlike in Street Fighter 6 you might actually want to buy them.

Back in August, Capcom and Nickelodeon crossed over to include TMNT skins in Street Fighter 6. Unfortunately, the skins were overpriced and rather unattractive – and could only be used with the World Tour Avatar.

The TMNT Fortnite crossover meanwhile adds the 4 iconic brothers as well as April O'Neil – all highly stylised to fit both the worlds of Fortnite's many modes and TMNT at the same time.

Of course, the one thing which both crossovers share is that they are rather costly. Individually, Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael each cost 1,600 V-Bucks (roughly £10), the April bundle meanwhile is slightly less at 1,500 V-Bucks. Last but not least you can get a bundle of all the turtles and their accessories for 3,400 V-Bucks (roughly £20).

While not the cheapest, this is still a small ask when compared to SF6 – which could cost you roughly 4 times as much to purchase all the crossover content.
