E3 2024 and 2025 have been confirmed

In the wake of E3’s cancellation during COVID-19, many alternative gaming showcases were created, with Goeff Keighley’ Summer Game Fest perhaps being the most successful. That being said, with E3 confirmed to be back properly in 2023, the ESA are looking beyond, having now booked the LA Convention Center for both 2024 and 2025.

As reported by ResetEra user Rosti, the Los Angeles Board of City Tourism Commissioners published a packet for its upcoming meeting taking place on the 19th of October. For our purposes, the point worth noting is the fact that the packet reveals that earlier this month the ESA booked the LA Convention Center for 2024 (starting 11th June) and 2025 (starting on the 3rd of June).

Of course, for a venue as large as the LACC, bookings such as these must be done far in advance in order to ensure availability. Still, the fact that the ESA is willing to put money down for E3 this many years in advance seems to suggest that the company is feeling confident in their abilities to regain its relevance within the industry.

Before we can get to E3 2024, we must first live through next year’s showcase – and with both E3 and Summer Game Fest hosting in-person events it will be interesting to see which showcase ultimately takes the top spot.
