Blair Witch: Oculus Quest Edition is arriving this Halloween

Virtual Reality is a perfect companion for many types of video game genres. One of these is undoubtedly horror. Bloober Team appears to have recognised this, as the studio has taken its most recent release, Blair Witch, and adapted it for VR devices. Coming to Oculus Quest first on the 29th of October, Blair Witch: Oculus Quest Edition appears to be the perfect game for this time of year.

Blair Witch: Oculus Quest Edition is described as a “brand-new version of the Blair Witch story built specifically for the VR experience” including “redesigned environments” and a “rebuilt story.”

According to UploadVR, the game will feature “new creature encounters, sounds, and in-game events with all-new interactions like catching, throwing, and stacking objects, a marker and paper for notes, breakable tree branches, and the ability to open drawers, doors, gates, and more.”

Retailing for $29.99 and launching on the 29th of October, Blair Witch: Oculus Quest Edition appears to be much more than a simple VR port. To those who do not have an Oculus Quest, the game will come to other VR headsets in the future – but if you wish to play it on Halloween, the Quest is the only option for now.

The original Blair Witch received mixed reviews upon its original release in 2019. That being said, it is clear that Bloober Team has worked hard on the Oculus Quest Edition – hopefully fixing a number of the previous complaints on the way.
