Astro Bot to get new speedrun levels and more later this ‘Fall’

Following the successful launch of Astro Bot earlier this month, the team at Asobi revealed that they have a bunch of post-launch support planned, with the first being focused on speedrun challenges. As part of the most recent State of Play, this free DLC was officially shown off – set to arrive later this ‘Fall’.

The ‘Speedrun and Special Bots Add-On Trailer’ teases some of what players can expect when the Astro Bot update arrives later this year, bringing – as expected – speedrun levels and special bots to rescue.

More specifically, the update will include 5 new online speedrun levels which appear to be a step above many of the levels currently in the game – featuring a much more obstacle-course-like aesthetic and layout.

Furthermore, the update will also add 10 new bots to rescue, with those revealed so far including the Helldivers and Eve from Stellar Blade.

Astro Bot is already one of the highest rated PS5 games of all time, and so any new content is only going to improve the overall experience further – especially for free.

KitGuru says: Are you looking forward to the update? What’s your favourite aspect of Astro Bot? What missing bots are you hoping will be included in this update? Let us know down below.
