While Sony does have a promotional deal of its own for Star Wars Battlefront, Microsoft's exclusive on the EA Access program seems to supersede that as Xbox One owners in EA Access can already play Star Wars Battlefront. In an effort to help promote the game, Xbox gamers can download the full game now, a week ahead of launch and play ten hours worth of it.
The deal includes access to every game mode and map, so you can get an early look at all of the available content before deciding whether or not to pick up the game at launch.
The trial is limited to ten hours of play, so there is that to keep in mind. If you want EA Access, that costs £3.99 per month or £19.99 for the entire year, which gives you access to a ‘vault' of titles, ranging from sports games, to Battlefield 4 and Hardline, Need for Speed and Dragon Age: Inquisition. The vault is updated fairly regularly with additional content too, so it's not a bad deal.
Star Wars: Battlefront actually launches next Thursday on the PC, Xbox One and PS4.
KitGuru Says: I've been a member of EA Access for a while now and I must admit, it is very good value for money. I have easily played 40 hours of Dragon Age Inquisition, along with countless hours of Battlefield, all while spending less than if I'd bought them both separately. Do any of you own an Xbox One? Are you thinking about picking up Battlefront when it launches?
