Xbox Games Showcase airing this week focused on third-party studios

It looks like we're in for another Xbox games showcase. While the summer showcase focused on first-party games, this month's unveilings will focus primarily on third-party studios.

We won't be seeing what's next for Starfield, Hellblade, Fable or Avowed at the next Xbox showcase but we will get updates on plenty of third-party games. The stream is planned to last for around 30 minutes and a few games are already confirmed to be showing up, including the likes of Alan Wake 2, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Ark: Survival Ascended. The stream will go live on the 25th of October at 6PM BST.

Those three aren't such surprising picks. Xbox has had plenty of marketing deals with Sega in recent years, with several focusing on the Yakuza series, which has grown in popularity outside of Japan over the last five years. Aside from that, Xbox was also the stage setter for the Ark 2 announcement, so seeing the Survival Ascended remaster popping up here isn't much of a shock.

These are just a few of the games we expect to see though, so there should be a few surprises in store. Needless to say, as this is third-party focused, don't expect to see any announcements from Activision Blizzard either.

KitGuru Says: We'll have to wait and see what ends up at the show but the teaser doesn't have me too excited. Alan Wake 2 comes out in a week and Ark: Survival Ascended has done nothing but anger fans of the original game. However, it will be good to see Yakuza making an appearance. Yakuza 7 was my favourite of the series, so I have high hopes for the sequel.
