Wild Hearts is shaping up to be a fast paced version of Monster Hunter

Last month, EA announced a partnership with Koei Tecmo and Omega Force to produce a new Monster Hunting game to rival Capcom's Monster Hunter series. That game was later revealed to be ‘Wild Hearts', with a release date set for early 2023. We've already seen a short gameplay trailer, but now, the development team has uploaded a more substantial chunk of in-game footage.

If you are interested in Omega Force's take on the Monster Hunter genre, then you'll want to check the gameplay out. In a new seven-minute video, we get a good look at traversal, various tools to help you get around, as well as a big monster fight, with two players in co-op using different weapons and tools to take the monster down.

Unfortunately, the gameplay footage doesn't look great on YouTube. The video seems to be very compressed and for now, there is no 4K option for viewing the trailer, so you'll notice vegetation looking a little odd and fuzzy, as well as general compression artefacts in portions of the video.

Art-wise, the game looks really great, and I imagine the final game will look a lot better on our TVs and PC monitors versus the current YouTube footage.

KitGuru Says: Wild Hearts is quickly shaping up to be a very interesting title. I love the feudal Japan-inspired take on the fantasy landscape. Hopefully, the final game will play well across both PCs and consoles.
