Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt PC system requirements raised

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is not coming out this year, but spin-off title, Bloodhunt, likely is. The multiplayer game previously had pretty tame PC system requirements, but following a recent alpha playtest, the system requirements for this game have been updated with higher-end hardware.

Previously, the Steam listing for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt recommended that players be using a GTX 970 or RX 590 graphics card at minimum. Now, as pointed out by The Gamer, the minimum system requirements have been updated, calling for a GTX 1070 or RX 5600 XT instead.

Here are the new minimum and recommended system requirements for the game:

Minimum:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: i5-8600 / Ryzen 1600X or better
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: GTX 1070 / RX 5600 XT or better
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 20 GB available space

Recommended:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: i7-8700K / Ryzen 5 3600X or better
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: RTX 2060 Super / RX 5700 XT or better
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 20 GB available space

In the additional notes section, developers Sharkmob also add that an SSD is “strongly recommended” over a hard drive. Currently, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt does not have a release date, but the game did recently go through a closed alpha and more playtests will happen later this year.
