Until Dawn trailer compares the new PC/PS5 version to original PS4 release

We were already expecting the upcoming Until Dawn remake to drop around Halloween. As it turns out, Sony will be dropping the game on PS5 and PC well ahead of time.

The remake of Supermassive Games' slasher thriller, Until Dawn, is launching on the 4th of October. While this is a remake, some changes have been made to certain events, there are new endings to discover and new character interactions along the way, but the main story should remain the same.

In addition to announcing a release date, Sony has also gone into greater detail about some of the new graphical, story and gameplay changes, including a new graphics comparison trailer, showing the old PS4 version side by side with the PS5 remake.

While this game has been on the PlayStation platform for almost a decade, this is the very first time that PC players will get to try out the game. For newcomers, Until Dawn is something of an interactive film. You do control characters, explore areas and engage in some combat but it is primarily a narrative-driven experience with quick-time events. If you are a fan of older horror movies though, then it should be well worth a playthrough.

KitGuru Says: I loved Until Dawn when I played it back on PS4. I may not be there day-one for the remake but I'll no doubt pick it up before the end of the year. Are any of you planning on picking this up in October?
