In a shock to absolutely no one, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been crowned as the best-selling game of October 2024. This backs up Microsoft's previous announcement that Black Ops 6 had the biggest launch in franchise history. 

Sales data for the video game market in October 2024 has now been published by the analysts at Circana. As expected, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 hit the top spot, but what is more impressive is that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, a successor to the classic Budokai Tenkaichi games from the PS2-era, managed to hit the number 2 spot.

Here is the full top ten best-selling games from October 2024:

1. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
2. Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero
3. Silent Hill 2 (2024)
4. Undisputed
5. Metaphor: ReFantazio
6. Dragon Age: The Veilguard
7. Super Mario Party Jamboree
8. Madden NFL 25
9. Sonic X Shadow Generations
10. EA Sports FC 25

Further down the list is a series of older titles, with Hogwarts Legacy sitting at 13th, Astro Bot at 15th, Final Fantasy 1-VI Pixel Remaster at 19th and Elden Ring at 20th. The recently released Until Dawn remake, which launched on PC and PS5 in October, does not make an appearance in the top 20. However, Silent Hill fans will be happy to see Silent Hill 2 at the No. 3 spot, making it Blooper Team's most successful game to date.
