Ubisoft seems to be teasing a Far Cry 5 follow-up

2018 has been such a huge year for games that it is easy to forget that Far Cry 5 actually came out this year. The game has been a huge success for Ubisoft and now, it looks like we'll be getting an expansion or sequel announcement later this evening during The Game Awards.

The teaser trailer for Ubi's upcoming Far Cry announcement shows off nuclear bombs detonating around Hope County. We don't know much about outside of that, but it looks like Far Cry will be taking some inspiration from Fallout and sending us into a post-apocalyptic scenario.

Whether this ends up being new story content, a spin-off like Blood Dragon, or even some kind of multiplayer mode, remains to be seen. However, we will be seeing the full reveal tonight during The Game Awards, which unfortunately doesn't kick off until 1:30 AM for those of us in the UK.

KitGuru Says: I didn't end up getting very far into Far Cry 5 but from what I've heard, the story didn't end up being all it was cracked up to be. Have many of you played Far Cry 5 this year? Do you think Ubisoft is teasing a spin-off of some kind, or a new expansion?
