The Witcher will land on Netflix in December, full trailer released

Earlier this year during San Diego Comic-Con, Netflix released the first teaser trailer for The Witcher, giving us a brief look at important characters and setting the tone for the series. Now, full main trailer for The Witcher's first season has been released, primarily showing previously unseen footage with new dialogue and some relevant plot teasers to try and hook you before the season premieres on the 20th of December.

The new trailer arrives just a few days after new teaser images and set photos surfaced on the web. The trailer immediately provides a glimpse of carnage, with dead bodies laying across the ground after an ugly battle. Then, we cut to Geralt and start getting a proper introduction to him and his profession, with some quick shots of potions at work and Geralt using the Aard sign to blast some people away.

Of course, there is much more to it than that, with the trailer then expanding on the world, other characters and teasing some of the overarching plot points, like the war between Temeria and Nilfgaard, the relationship between Geralt and Yennefer in addition to the important role Ciri plays.

The Witcher will be coming to Netflix on the 20th of December 2019, giving a bit more time for editing and post production tweaks. The first season will consist of eight episodes, although a second season will be entering production next year, so more will be on the way.

KitGuru Says: This trailer is much more comprehensive, particularly for introducing someone completely new to the series, as it quickly establishes some key points without giving too much away. What do you all think of the full trailer for The Witcher? Will you be watching this in December?
