The Witcher: Monster Slayer launches today for iOS and Android

CD Projekt Red first branched out into free-to-play mobile games a few years ago with a standalone version of GWENT, which is still running today. Last year, the company announced a mobile Augmented Reality game based on The Witcher IP – The Witcher: Monster Slayer, which is releasing today.

This game is developed by Spokko, a smaller studio within the CD PROJEKT family. It is a free-to-play, augmented reality RPG for iOS and Android set in The Witcher universe. The game is set years before the modern trilogy, during a time where a ‘Witcher’ is still a very new profession.

Taking inspiration from games like Pokemon Go, The Witcher: Monster Slayer will have fans roaming their real-life local streets and encountering monsters to defeat along the way. Players will be able to use weather conditions, potions and other gear to their advantage during these fights, just as we're used to doing in the main Witcher games.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer is available on Android and iOS starting from today. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.

KitGuru Says: This game has been in testing for over a year now, so it will be interesting to see the final game in action. Have any of you tried this out already today?
