The Last of Us Part 2 detailed PC system requirements revealed

The Last of Us Part 2 is set to land on PC next week and so far, all signs are pointing towards a better launch compared to the release of The Last of Us Part 1. Recently, Naughty Dog revealed the PC system requirements for those targeting 1080p, 1440p and 4K, as well as confirming some of the PC-specific features we'll be seeing in the game.

As has been the case with most PlayStation titles on PC, Sony will be supporting all the latest standards, including DLSS with Frame Generation, FSR 3 and FSR 4, you can play with the frame rate completely uncapped, utilise 21:9 ultrawide resolutions, and Sony is even using Microsoft's DirectStorage technology to improve loading times and texture-streaming.

Part II PC

In terms of hardware requirements, for a 720p/30FPS experience, you'll need at least an 8th Gen Intel Core i3, or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X CPU, along with 16GB of RAM and an RX 5500 XT or GTX 1650 graphics card.

The recommended system requirements are a cut above, targeting medium settings at 1080p and 60 frames per second. For that, you'll need an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 CPU or an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, 16GB of RAM, alongside an RTX 3060 or RX 5700 graphics card.

For those looking to crank the settings to high will need a much beefier system. For 1440p/60FPS at High settings, it is recommended that you use at least an Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, 16GB of RAM and an RX 6800 or RTX 3070 graphics card.

To access the highest settings at 4K resolution, you'll want an Intel Core i7-11700 or Ryzen 7 5700X, 32GB of RAM and an RX 7900XT or RTX 4080 graphics card.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered releases on PC on the 3rd of April. The game is based on last year's PS5 port, so it includes the Director's Cut commentary mode, the new No Return roguelike game mode and a few other pieces of additional content.
