The Finals’ second season will bring a new 5v5 mode

The Finals enters its second season starting tomorrow, March 14th. From there, players will get access to a whole new battle pass with new rewards. That's not all though, the game will also be introducing new weapons for each class, as well as a new 5v5 PvP mode.

The new 5v5 mode is called Power Shift, and will have teams competing to escort a platform through the arena. This will all take place on the new SYS$HORIZON map, which features glitch effects on the geometry to bring this season's ‘hacker' theme to life.

As for class updates, the Light class will get a new portal gun, known as The Gateway, allowing you to quickly open up an easy transport to another area. Medium builds will get a new specialisation called The Dematerialiser, which can temporarily blink physical surfaces out of existence,as well as the Data Reshaper, which can morph objects. Finally, Heavy players will get a new shotgun and deployable anti-gravity gadget.

If you are a regular ranked player, then you should also know that the ranked system will now be a League system moving forward, with a new career progression tab in place to offer weekly rewards for completing challenges. Private matches are also on the way, but will be beta tested first.
