The Division’s ‘Incursions’ update detailed

While bigger expansions are still being worked on, those of us still playing The Division have some free updates to look forward to, the first of which will be launching on the 12th of April. The Incursions update brings players new end-game content in the form of a raid-style activity, which players can take part in for rare gear sets tailored to different play styles.

The first incursion is titled ‘Falcon Lost' and takes place at an underground water treatment facility, which is patrolled by the Last Man Battalion. Each rare gear set will also unlock a unique, brand new talent once equipped.

“Falcon Lost has two difficulties: Hard mode, which is recommended for players whose gear score is equivalent to level 31; and challenge mode, which is even tougher. Also, there aren’t any checkpoints in Falcon Lost; if your team goes down, you’ll have to restart from the beginning. Additionally, you can replay Falcon Lost and other upcoming Incursions as many times as you want and still be rewarded with new loot.”

Incursions will also bring in a new system called Gear Score, which will let players boost their abilities beyond the level cap, which is currently 30. Players will also now be able to trade loot with this update. A second Incursion is planned and will take place in New York's Columbus Circle but this won't be coming until a future free update.

KitGuru Says: Incursions are set to be Ubisoft's take on the raid for The Division. I capped out my character a week or so ago so I'll be looking forward to getting new end-game content. Hopefully it can live up to expectations. Are any of you still playing The Division? Will you be jumping back in for the Incursions update?

I’m glad they’re adding a gear score to keep track of how good your gear is in the late game, and I’m looking forward to the incursions update and that tasty new gear. With any luck I’ll be DZ50 by the 12th so that I can go in fully prepared
