Prior to the launch of Starfield, it became pretty clear that members of Bethesda were unhappy with the game being an Xbox console exclusive. Since the game's release, Microsoft appears to have given up on exclusives entirely and is now focused on bringing its games to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles, alongside Xbox and PC. As a result, Starfield looks to be next in line for a PS5 release.
It is clear that Starfield was something of a last straw for Microsoft. Within months of the game's exclusive release on Xbox and PC, Microsoft switched tactics and began announcing games for PS5 and Nintendo Switch. This started off with smaller exclusives like Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves and Grounded, but Microsoft has moved on to bigger franchises like Forza Horizon, Indiana Jones and more.
At this point, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is expected to land on PS5 within the next few months. The next DOOM game, DOOM: The Dark Ages, will release day-one on PC and to round-off Bethesda's return to multiplatform game publishing, Starfield is also in line to release on PS5.
As spotted by fans, Bethesda recently updated the Creation Club platform for Starfield with the PlayStation logo, indicating that Starfield, complete with access to official mods, will be arriving on PS5 in the coming months. Bethesda recently teased that 2025 was going to be a ‘big year' for Starfield, so aside from the PS5 release, we may also see a new expansion.

KitGuru Says: I thoroughly enjoyed Starfield and I have no doubt that the game will get a positive reception if it does release on PS5, likely a more positive one than we saw at launch, where much of the discussion around the game was mired by console-war nonsense.
