Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will now release in Q1 2024

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will miss its planned December 2023 release date. Fortunately, fans won't have to wait much longer to get their hands on the game, as it is now scheduled to release in Q1 2024.

This week alongside Gamescom, GSC Game World shared a new update on Stalker 2, confirming that the game will now be releasing for PC and Xbox Series X/S in the first quarter of 2024, meaning the release should land anywhere between January 1st and the end of March.

While the game is arriving later than expected, the game will still be a day-one title for Xbox Game Pass and it will be an Xbox console exclusive, so we can expect to see a PS5 version later in the year.

GSC Game World has had a rough time over the past 18 months. The studio was based in Ukraine and had to move shortly after Russia's invasion. Following that, a Russian hacking group attacked the studio, threatening to leak the game. Still, the studio has soldiered on to get the game finished.
