Skull and Bones gets surprisingly high PC system requirements

After years of delays, Skull & Bones is finally heading to PC and consoles in November. Now with plenty of time to spare, Ubisoft has announced the PC system requirements for the game, alongside a list of PC-specific features.

PC players can expect ray-traced Global Illumination, HDR support, key rebinding, DLSS and FSR to save on performance, multi-monitor and ultra-wide support, an uncapped frame rate and an in-game benchmark to test your settings before loading into the full game.  Those are the main extra features of the PC version, so let's dive into system requirements next.

Ubisoft has a minimum and recommended spec, both targeting 1080p gameplay. The company also has two extra specs for those looking to run the game at 1440p or 4K.

The minimum requirements target low settings at 30FPS and call for a Ryzen 5 1600 or Core i7-4790, 8GB of RAM and a GTX 1060 or RX 570 GPU. The recommended spec targets 1080p at 60FPS and calls for a Core i7-8700K or Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB of RAM and an RTX 2070 or RX 5700 XT.

For 1440p, you are going to want a Core i7-9700K or a Ryzen 5 5600X, an RTX 3070 or RX 6800 GPU and 16GB of memory. For 4K, you are going to need a truly high-end system with a Core i5-11600K or Ryzen 5 5600X and an RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT.

KitGuru Says: Some of these requirements seem astonishingly high for a game originally developed to run on an Xbox One.
