Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance is coming to PC alongside consoles

It has been a couple of years since Atlus brought Shin Megami Tensei V to the Nintendo Switch. The mainline series that preceded the Persona games is back in the news again this week, with Atlus announcing plans to bring the game to even more platforms, complete with a big expansion.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is launching on the 21st of June for Nintendo Switch, as well as PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC, continuing Atlus's streak of bringing its beloved RPGs to more platforms.

Players can expect improved gameplay systems and quality of life features, as well as over 40 new demons to encounter and new story beats. There will be two story modes available in this version of the game, and Atlus reckons it will take players around 80 hours to complete each one, making for a total of 160 hours of gameplay for full completion.

Unfortunately, players who already beat the original game on Switch will not be able to carry their save forward to the new version due to various story adjustments and changes. We'll have to wait and see just how different the new version plays out and how it compares to the original.
