Resident Evil Village is coming out in May

Capcom's Resident Evil Showcase aired last night and as expected, we got plenty of new information about Resident Evil Village. For starters, we have a new trailer to tease the story, a release date has been announced and we have details on the new multiplayer mode ‘Re:Verse'.

The new trailer follows main character Ethan Winters as he makes his way into a castle and encounters some new monsters. You can watch the full trailer below:

Resident Evil Village will be coming out on the 7th of May. During the showcase, Capcom also confirmed that Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game are coming out, so it will be on last-gen and current-gen consoles in addition to PC.

Similarly to Resident Evil 3 Remake, RE Village will include its own standalone multiplayer mode. This time around, it is called Re:Verse and its essentially a six-person deathmatch mode. Interested fans can test the multiplayer mode early by signing up for beta access. The first of these multiplayer tests will occur on the 27th of January.
