Resident Evil 2 gets an ‘unlock all in-game rewards’ DLC

The Resident Evil 2 Remake has been out for a couple of months now and during that time, the game has garnered up plenty of critical acclaim and positive reviews from players. Capcom has been steadily releasing DLCs, ranging from new character costumes to weapons. The latest DLC is more of a cheat though, unlocking all in-game rewards for a price.

Back in the old days, something like this would have been achievable through a simple cheat code. Nowadays though, microtransactions are the norm, so this shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Capcom is rolling out an ‘all in-game rewards unlock' DLC, which will grant access to all of the extra hidden content within the game without having to play through multiple times.

Here is everything included with the unlock:

  • 4th Survivor Game Mode.
  • Tofu Survivor Game Mode.
  • Unbreakable combat knife.
  • Samurai Edge with infinite ammo.
  • LE-5 submachine gun with infinite ammo.
  • ATM-4 rocket launcher with infinite ammo.
  • Minigun with infinite ammo.
  • Additional Resident Evil 2 costumes.
  • Models.
  • Concept art.

This pack will be available for $4.99 across PC, Xbox One and PS4.

KitGuru Says: Stuff like this is often brushed off as an easily ignored optional shortcut and I can understand that view. Still, I'm not really a fan of this business practise, even if it has been normalised by other games- the Assassin's Creed series being a prime example.
