Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC news to arrive next week

Back in February during a special Pokemon Presents stream, Game Freak officially unveiled two upcoming expansions for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. A new trailer was shown during Nintendo Direct in June and now, it looks like we'll finally get some release date news, as a new Pokemon Presents stream is coming next week.

The gameplay trailer from the June Nintendo Direct gives us a good look at new locations and Pokemon to discover in both Part 1 (The Teal Mask) and Part 2 (The Indigo Disk). Unfortunately, the trailer did not come with any release date information. That should change next week, with a Pokemon Presents stream going live on the 8th of August at 2PM BST.

The stream will be 35 minutes long, so we're likely to not only get new information about the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet expansions, but we're also likely to see announcements for other Pokemon games and media projects.

Pokemon Scarlet/Violet The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask should be releasing in the autumn of this year, followed by Part 2: The Indigo Disk in the Winter, which could put its release in the early months of 2024.
