Ni no Kuni is no longer leaving Game Pass this month

This month has already been pretty interesting for Game Pass users, with Dead Island 2 arriving on the service without a major announcement. Now, subscribers have something else to look forward to, as one of the service's major JRPGs will now have an extended stay in the library.

Just last week, Microsoft announced a new wave of games leaving Game Pass on the 15th of March. That list included beloved JRPG classic, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, which first launched as a PS3 exclusive, but later released in remastered form on all platforms, including Xbox and PC. Microsoft has since updated its latest Game Pass announcements post, adding a note confirming that Ni no Kuni will no longer be leaving the Game Pass library this month.

We don't know how long the game was extended for but this wouldn't be the first time this has happened. Microsoft pays close attention to Game Pass data and frequently engages in discussions to keep games on the service, extend them, or bring entirely new games to the catalogue. It would seem that Ni no Kuni is doing well enough on the service that Microsoft wanted to keep it in place.

If you are like me and have been making your way through the game very slowly, then you'll be pleased to know that you now have some extra time to get to the finish line.

KitGuru Says: It is always a shame to lose access to a Game Pass title that you've not got around to finishing. Fortunately in the case of Ni no Kuni, you should now have plenty of extra time to get to the end credits.
