Microsoft investigating unresponsive Xbox Series X/S controller issue

One of Microsoft's big improvements with the Xbox Series X/S was improvements to controller latency. Unfortunately, there are people picking up the new controller and facing issues, with some complaining that the controller is unresponsive at times. Now, Microsoft is looking into the issue.

The issue here is that sometimes, Series X/S controller users are finding their button presses aren't registering, the issue can also impact other functions of the controller too.

Speaking with ‘The Loadout‘, Microsoft responded to these complaints, acknowledging the issue: “At Microsoft, we put all of our products through rigorous quality assurance testing and are committed to providing customers with an unparalleled gaming experience. We are aware some players may be experiencing unresponsiveness with their new Xbox Wireless Controllers and our teams are actively working on a solution. For the best experience, we encourage customers to visit Xbox Support for assistance.”

There is no word on when a fix might arrive, but hopefully this is something that can be fixed with a firmware update within the next few weeks.
