MachineGames’ Indiana Jones to be revealed in 2024

Back in 2021, it was announced that Wolfenstein studio, MachineGames, was now working on an original Indiana Jones game. It has been a few years since then with no update, but that should change soon. In a recent interview focusing on the upcoming Starfield launch and Bethesda's various projects, Todd Howard hints that the game will be revealed next year.

Speaking with Esquire in an interview, Howard answered a question about the Indiana Jones project, saying: “I am a giant Indiana Jones fan. It can be brought to video games in a unique way. The game is obviously: you’re exploring stuff. It’s about him. So if you’re playing the game, how do you feel that you are indeed playing versus just watching?”

He added “we'll talk next year” shortly after, indicating that development is progressing well and that we'll get our first official look at the game sometime in 2024.

Of course, Indiana Jones isn't directly Todd Howard's project. Howard oversees Bethesda Game Studios and not MachineGames, although as a big Indiana Jones fan and executive producer on the project he's no doubt been taking an interest in the game while providing some feedback along the way. The development timeline could always shift but for now, it looks like we can keep our fingers crossed for 2024.

KitGuru Says: MachineGames made some of last-gen's best first-person shooters. I expect Indiana Jones will be a bit of a departure from that gameplay style, so it will be interesting to see what the team comes up with.
