Kojima teases new Metal Gear Solid collection

The Tokyo Game Show is coming up and Hideo Kojima has teased a few announcements that we can expect, one of which looks to be an updated version of the Metal Gear Solid collection for the Xbox One, PS4 and just maybe the PC too.

An MGS collection was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 a couple of years back but with Metal Gear Solid V coming out next year, this would be a good opportunity to offer up past games in the series to PC owners along with early adopters of the new consoles.

Kojima posted the above image on his Twitter account. We've also got a sneak peak at an upcoming preview for Metal Gear Solid V, which will be shown in full at TGS next week: [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1esXaOwymM']

At Gamescom last month, it was announced that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes would be heading to Steam next year.

KitGuru Says: The Metal Gear Collection 2014 has yet to be announced and bringing older titles to the PC could be a bit of a challenge. However, I imagine that a PC version of the collection would sell fairly well. Would you guys like to see the Metal Gear Collection come to PC? Are you looking forward to Metal Gear Solid V?

  1. If there is no pc release I will be let down, MGS and MGS2 were both released for pc. Konami is losing allot of sales by not making pc releases, so far I havent met anyone that wouldnt buy MGS and MGS2 if they were rereleased for pc.

they are also avoiding alot of piracy

  3. In short, FUCK YEAH!!!

  4. Erm, yes.

  5. LOL. Wow. Really? Got to be a troll.

  6. Okay, so it ended up being a clothing line, and not a collection of games. But still your baseless claim of piracy is other companies’ baseless claim of piracy.

Games are pirated as much on Playstation, and Xbox systems as much as PC, look at the Wii, almost everyone has Homebrew running on it with tons of games downloaded, I can tell you first hand of mates who owned an xbox360 for example with custom software which allowed both online play and pirated games.

If you really think piracy isnt an issue on consoles youre delusional, publishers keep using that excuse time after time because they dont care about PC platform, and they dont want to outright say it.

FYI, most pirated game was GTA V for the X360.

I never they are not pirated anywhere else lol you people read far too much into nothing.

Yes there are pirated games for consoles, but they are not as accessible for most people as they are unsure of how to hack their consoles, pc is the easiest to pirate because all they need to do is goto a torrent site, download, install, run the crack and play! Done! End of!

Consoles are a bit different because people who play games just pop the cd in and play, but a lot o people don’t know where to begin in manually hacking they consoles lol.

All I said was they are avoiding a lot of piracy, it happens more on pc than a specific console because more people own a computer, you read far too much in to what I said bro, saying I must be delusional if I think blah blah lmao
