Knights of the Old Republic 2 will get a Restored Content DLC this year

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II is officially out on the Nintendo Switch, but Aspyr is delivering more than just a port of the base game. The studio has also gone back into the game's cut content and will release an official cut content DLC expansion in Q3.

Aspyr announced the Cut Content DLC ahead of KOTOR II's arrival on the Nintendo Switch. Now, the company has given an update on the upcoming DLC, stating it will arrive in Q3 this year. However, you will need to start a new save file to access the DLC content.

For those who don't know, Knights of the Old Republic II was developed by Obsidian Entertainment in the early 2000s. The studio had just 18 months to create the game and as a result, there was a significant amount of content cut from the game. Modders have previously released Restored Content mods for KOTOR II on PC, but this is the first time any of that content has been released officially.

The Restored Content DLC will include a new mission starring HK-47, an enhanced ending, additional dialogue scenes with crew members, other additional side quests and more.
