Homeworld 3 gets revised PC system requirements

While an initial PC system requirement announcement for Homeworld 3 happened last year, the game has gone through a few extra months of development since then. Now, the developers have revealed the revised and final PC system requirements for this long-awaited Space RTS.

Homeworld 3 will support ray tracing, but only for shadows, so we won't see features like RT reflections or AO. The game will support HDR though, so if you have a HDR-capable monitor, you'll see a wider range of colours and brighter highlights to make the image pop. The game will also support DLSS 2 and FSR 2 and will be optimised for Intel Arc graphics cards as well.

Here are the PC system requirements:

Minimum Recommended Ultra
Graphics preset Low Medium Epic
Resolution 1080p 1080p 4K
GPU Intel Arc A380, GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon R9 480 Intel Arc A580, GeForce GTX 1080 Ti or Radeon RX 5700 Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT
CPU Intel Core i5-6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
RAM 12GB 16GB 16GB
Graphics card VRAM 6GB 8GB 12GB
Storage 40GB HDD 40GB HDD 40GB HDD
Operating system Windows 10 /11 64-bit Windows 10 /11 64-bit Windows 10 /11 64-bit

If you are looking to play with ray-tracing enabled, you will want at least an RTX 30 series or RX 6000 series graphics card. A newer generation RTX 40 or RX 7000 graphics card should be able to handle ray-tracing settings even better.

After several delays, Homeworld 3 is finally due to come out on the 13th of May.
