Here’s the first look at Hogwarts Legacy running on Nintendo Switch

We've heard little about the Nintendo Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy since its delay earlier this year. That has finally changed this week, with the game going live for pre-orders on the Nintendo eShop – better yet, the store now has screenshots from the Switch version, giving us our first peek at what the game will look like.

Given that Mortal Kombat 1 just launched on Switch with awful visuals, we were a bit apprehensive about the potential state of Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo's hybrid console. However, it appears that the team WB got in to work on this Switch port did a much better job.

The game does look notably low-res but not much of the detail has been lost in the transition to the Switch. In many ways, these screenshots remind me of The Witcher 3 on Switch. There is the same low-res blur on the screenshots but for the most part, texture and environmental details remain intact.

There is also finally a release date for the Switch version, dropping on the 14th of November. Additionally, the Nintendo eShop listing has also revealed the long-awaited DLC for Hogwarts Legacy – The Dark Arts Pack, containing some new cosmetics alongside a new Dark Arts battle arena.

KitGuru Says: Hogwarts Legacy is already the top-selling game of the year but now with access to the massive Switch market, we expect sales to see another big boost, particularly in Japan.
