Halo Reach PC gameplay released as first public test gets underway

After a few months worth of waiting, the first public test for Halo: Reach on PC arrived over the weekend. Unfortunately, the first ‘flight’ was kept fairly low key, with fewer than 1000 Halo Insider members getting the invite. However, there is a full gameplay video floating around so we can at least get a good look at what the game is like running on PC.

343 Industries did give us a heads-up beforehand that the first PC test would be “very small” but things will ramp up in the weeks and months to come. In the meantime, we do have fifteen minutes worth of campaign gameplay to stare at:

Of course, anyone that has seen Halo 3 or Halo 4 running on the Xbox One already has a good idea of what to expect graphically from Halo Reach. The real test for this game on PC will be in the feel of the gunplay and how well the controls translate over to keyboard and mouse.

While there are ways for those not invited into the test to get hold of the files, doing so would risk you getting banned from future Halo Insider builds, so I wouldn’t recommend trying it. Just hang tight and wait for the next public test to come around, which will hopefully be higher scale.

KitGuru Says: Were any of you lucky enough to get into the Halo Reach test over the weekend? I’ll be keeping an eye out for first impressions across the web but I am still very much looking forward to Halo finally coming back to PC.
