Halo 4 PC beta testing begins this month

At this point, the Master Chief Collection on PC is very close to completion. Halo Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST are all out on PC and soon, Halo 4 will be joining that list, with beta tests set to begin very soon.

This week, 343 Industries announced that Halo 4 public testing will begin in October. This test will include campaign missions, Spartan Ops, Forge mode with additional features and cross-play multiplayer.

As for multiplayer, you can expect the usual social game modes like Team Deathmatch, Free for All and Infection. Specific multiplayer maps have yet to be confirmed though.

Flighting begins sometime in October, so we can expect more details and updates from 343 in the weeks to come. If all goes well, Halo 4 will roll out to all owners of the Master Chief Collection on PC within the next couple of months.

KitGuru Says: I'm hoping that once Halo 4 is wrapped up, 343 Industries takes another look at Halo 5 for PC, especially now that Infinite has been delayed. Are many of you keeping up with the MCC on PC? Do you plan on playing through the Halo games in preparation for Halo Infinite next year?
