Half-Life: Alyx may contain an ARG as Reddit begins to investigate

Back in 2016, Valve fans had their interest piqued when Portal references were found as Easter eggs within a new CS:GO game mode, possibly hinting at an ARG with some kind of big announcement at the end of it, similar to the ARG that preceded the announcement of Portal 2. That didn't end up going anywhere but fans think a new ARG may be forming right now, this time with small clues potentially found in Half-Life: Alyx.

Throughout Half-Life: Alyx, you will find radios that you can tune to specific frequencies. Upon listening to a few specific station frequencies, you can hear some creepy, distorted audio of someone talking, which you can hear in the video below:

We don't currently know much more than that, but people are on it and will be investigating quite a bit in the weeks to come in hopes of finding another hidden message or possible clue. If you want to keep up to date on that, it will be worth keeping an eye on this Reddit thread.

The last time the community got entangled in a potential ARG search, Valve did step in to deny it and clear the rumours up. So if people end up chasing nothing, Valve likely will step in again and deny the existence of any ARG.

KitGuru Says: After finishing Half-Life: Alyx this week, I am itching for more Valve game news. Hopefully we'll hear something more soon, especially if it involves more Half-Life.
