GreedFall 2 will launch on Steam Early Access soon

GreedFall 2 will be an early access title to start off with. Following in the footsteps of hits like Baldur's Gate 3, GreedFall 2: The Dying World, will launch as an early playable alpha on Steam in September, allowing fans to get in early and provide feedback while the rest of the game is built.

The original GreedFall came out in 2019 and impressed with its classic BioWare-style RPG mechanic. The game went on two sell over two million copies across PC and console. With the sequel, the game will only be available on PC to start with, via Steam Early Access, starting on the 24th of September.

Interestingly, GreedFall 2 actually takes place prior to the events of the first game, so you should be able to jump in even if you missed the first one. Players will travel across new landscapes in the continent of Gacane, using diplomacy, cunning or combat to regain freedom for you and your allies.

The early access release will include the “entire beginning of the game” and new updates will arrive on a regular cadence right up until the team at Spiders has version 1.0 ready to go. When that time comes, the game will officially launch and become available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

KitGuru Says: Spiders has improved with every release. With GreedFall, the company finally broke through with a decent amount of success. Hopefully the sequel can build on that further.
