The GOG Spring Sale is now live and right alongside it, the team has announced a new round of titles joining the GOG Preservation Program. Designed to keep a large selection of classics playable on PC for generations to come, the Preservation Program now adds games like Deus Ex, Fallout 2, F.E.A.R. and more.
GOG was quick to announce the addition of F.E.A.R. to its Preservation Program after WB Games closed down the original studio behind the game, Monolith Productions. In the future, we hope to see F.E.A.R. 2 and F.E.A.R. 3 added but for now, GOG is just focusing on the first game, although it does sell DRM-free versions of the entire trilogy.
Here is the full list of newly announced games for the GOG Preservation Program:
- Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption
- Tomb Raider: Underworld, Anniversary and Legend
- Alone in the Dark: The Trilogy 1+2+3
- Ultima 1+2+3
- Ultima 4+5+6
- Ultima 8 Gold Edition
- Wing Commander 1+2
- Deus Ex GOTY Edition
- Jagged Alliance 2
- Fallout 2
- Privateer 2: The Darkening
- Port Royale 3 Gold
- Alien Breed + Tower Assault
- Cannon Fodder (-75%) and Cannon Fodder 2
If you want to see an old, unavailable game brought back to life, remember to use the GOG Dreamlist, where you can vote for old titles to be brought back in digital, DRM-free form.

KitGuru Says: The GOG Preservation Program is a big undertaking, and I hope that GOG gets all the support it needs to keep it going for decades to come.
