Godfall is the first PS5 game to be announced but it will also be on PC

While Sony didn't go as far as revealing the PlayStation 5 during The Game Awards, one developer did unveil the first officially announced game for the system. Godfall is on the way to PS5 and PC in late 2020, with the first teaser trailer giving us a rough idea of what to expect.

Godfall's late 2020 release window suggests that it will be a launch title for the PS5. While the game won't be heading to other consoles at launch, it will also be available on PC on a 12-month timed exclusivity deal with the Epic Games Store.

The game is being developed by Counterplay, with Gearbox acting as the publisher on the game. The teaser trailer gives off a bit of a Destiny-vibe but with heavier leanings into fantasy. You can play it solo, or with up to three players in a squad. Combat is third-person and melee focused, and as you might expect, you will be fighting for new gear and levelling up along the way.

KitGuru Says: We don't get to see much of Godfall in the trailer but we should get a better look at gameplay in a few months time. The Game Awards had some surprisingly huge announcements this year, with Microsoft opting to show off the next-gen Xbox and Hellblade 2, meanwhile the first PS5 game has been announced. What do you all think of Godfall so far?
