Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can get Persona 3 Reload’s expansion pass for free

Persona 3 Reload launched to great acclaim back in February, with many fans praising the remake for its presentation, gameplay and story. Now, the Persona 3 Expansion Pass is available, promising three future DLC updates, including a big expansion later this year. If you have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you can play the game and claim the expansion pass for free right now.

If you go onto the Xbox or Windows stores and are signed in with an account subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate, you'll be able to claim the Persona 3 Reload expansion pass for free. I claimed it myself earlier today and it all went through without a hitch. This appears to be a new Game Pass Ultimate perk, another surprise in a string of unannounced moves for Game Pass recently. This year has also seen the surprise release of Dead Island 2 on Game Pass, as well as an extension to keep Ni no Kuni in the library after it was announced for removal.

The Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass includes the following:

Wave 1 – Persona 5 Royal EX BGM Set and Persona 4 Golden EX BGM Set
Release Date: March 2024
Unlock and listen to additional tracks from Persona 5 Royal and Persona 4 Golden while exploring and battling in dungeons in Persona 3 Reload and Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis -The Answer-.

Wave 2 – Velvet Costume & BGM Set
Release Date: May 2024
Unlock Velvet Room themed costumes and BGM to further customize your dungeon experience in Persona 3 Reload and Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis -The Answer-.

Wave 3 – New Expansive Story Scenario, “Episode Aigis -The Answer-”
Release Date: September 2024
After unravelling the mysteries of the Dark Hour, fighting epic battles through Tartarus, and all the unforgettable events of Persona 3 Reload, the S.E.E.S. members find themselves trapped in a never-ending March 31st. Now this announcement has not come without scrutiny. Persona 3 Reload was sold with Deluxe and Ultimate Editions, which did include some additional DLC, but no season pass. Typically, a season pass would be included in a deluxe or ultimate edition, so this caught fans by surprise. It isn't the first controversy SEGA has had this year either, with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth also garnering complaints for locking New Game+ behind a paywall.
