G.Skill launches Trident Z5 DDR5-6000 memory

Back in October 2021, G.Skill unveiled the Trident Z5 family of DDR5 memory, starting off with 6400MHz 32GB (2x 16GB) kits. Now, G.Skill has unveiled the fastest 64GB DDR5 memory kit to date, achieving speeds of 6000MHz in 2x 32GB configuration.

The latest dual-channel memory kit from G.Skill offers DDR5-6000 speeds at CL30-40-40-96 timings, with two 32GB modules for a total of 64GB of DDR5 memory, designed for the Intel Z690 platform and 12th Gen Core desktop processors. This new memory kit has lower latency compared to previously launched Trident Z5 memory kits, which had CL40 and CL36 timings.

The module layout is comprised of two 32-bit sub-channels, making DDR5 capable of delivering more data than DDR4. Strides have also been made in efficiency, with each DDR5 memory module using an on-board power management integrated circuit chip, paving the way for more reliable power delivery and better signal integrity at high frequencies.

Recently, G.Skill won the Red Dot Design Award for its Trident Z5 RGB and Ripjaws S5 DDR5 memory products. The new DDR5-6000 CL30 64GB Trident Z5 kit will be available starting in Q2 2022.
