Final Fantasy 14 finally comes to Xbox next week

The Final Fantasy 14 beta has been available on Xbox for a few weeks now. So far, it seems that the beta has been a success and the full launch of the MMO will swiftly follow, with a release date now set for next week.

Final Fantasy 14's beta includes limited access to the game, without access to some of the newer expansions like Shadowbringers and Endwalker. However, on the 21st of March, the MMO will become fully available on Xbox consoles, giving players access to everything the game has to offer, from its earliest days right up to current content updates. Moving forward, all future Final Fantasy 14 content updates and expansions will arrive on Xbox alongside other platforms, like PlayStation and PC.

To sweeten the deal, those with a Game Pass Ultimate membership will be able to claim the game's ‘starter edition' for free. This includes the base game and first two expansions, Heavensward and Stormblood. However, it is also worth noting that all of this content is also available as part of the Final Fantasy 14 ‘free trial', which is only available to brand new accounts and can't be accessed via an account with an active subscription or a lapsed subscription.

If you want to catch up and own all of the expansions, you'll have to pick up the game's ‘complete edition', or purchase the expansions individually as and when you are ready to play them.
