EA Play members will get early access to Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042 is technically not releasing until the 19th of November, however, we've known for some time now that Ultimate Edition buyers will get early access to the game, starting on the 12th of November. As it turns out, there is a cheaper way to get into the game early, as EA Play members will also be able to start playing at the start of the early access period.

EA Play, the basic membership that is available for PC, consoles and comes bundled with Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, will include a 10-hour trial to the full version of Battlefield 2042. You can begin playing this trial at the same time that Ultimate Edition buyers and EA Play Pro (PC-only) members get early access.

This is also in-line with how DICE granted early access to the Battlefield 2042 beta last month, with EA Play members and pre-order customers getting access to the playtest a few days before it opened up to all players.

Unfortunately, the beta version of Battlefield 2042 did have some issues, which has caused concern for the state of the game at launch. DICE has said that the beta build was months old and many of the issues seen have already been solved. Still, given the concerns, it might be best to try the 10-hour trial through EA Play on the 12th of November before committing to buying the full game at release.
