EA is finally showing off Dead Space Remake gameplay

So far, EA Motive has shown us little bits of the upcoming Dead Space Remake but we have yet to see extensive gameplay. Today, EA is finally showing the game in action for the first time.

The announcement follows on from a report last week, which claimed that a Dead Space Remake gameplay reveal would be happening by mid October. As it turns out, it is coming a little earlier than that, with a new gameplay trailer dropping today.

The Dead Space Remake was first announced in July 2021, following a few leaks. The original game came out all the way back in 2008 and is still a beloved game to this day. For many, it is one of the best horror games of all time. It would seem Capcom's success with the recent Resident Evil remakes pushed EA to finally bring Dead Space back out of limbo.

The whole game is set on the USG Ishimura and while the developers are keeping the original game mostly intact, there will be some changes here and there to improve over the original design. For instance, zero gravity sections are being reworked to play better. Graphically, the game is already looking stunning, and it won't be held back by last-gen hardware either, as it is only targeting new-gen consoles and PC, skipping over Xbox One and PS4.

Dead Space Remake is launching on the 27th of January, as long as there are no delays.

KitGuru Says: Dead Space was a fantastic game, but EA's push for multiplayer and microtransactions meant that the series ultimately fell to the wayside after Dead Space 3. Hopefully after this remake, we can start looking towards new single-player games in this franchise.
