Dragon Age: Dreadwolf not coming until Summer 2024 at the earliest

While reports from 2021 and 2022 showed that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf was targeting a 2023 launch, it has become quite clear at this point that the game won't be coming out until 2024 at the earliest. According to Giant Bomb's Jeff Grubb, the game has been pushed back again as BioWare continues to face internal delays.

While at one point the studio was apparently looking to bring the game out in September 2023, over the last year, plans have changed. On Giant Bomb, Jeff Grubb gave an update to his report, stating that the launch window moved from Q3 2023 to Q1 2024. However, in recent months, it has been internally delayed again to Summer 2024.

Given the lack of official information released and the slow cadence of updates from BioWare, I would expect Dragon Age: Dreadwolf to land somewhere closer to the holiday season next year, assuming the game is not delayed further following a round of lay-offs at BioWare.

With most of BioWare now working on the next Dragon Age, a small pre-production team has formed to begin work on the next Mass Effect.

KitGuru Says: BioWare dominated RPGs during the Xbox 360 and PS3 era but over the last console generation, the studio began to struggle. We hope that BioWare can get back on track this gen, starting with Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
