Destiny beta dates announced

Bungie has announced that its Destiny beta will take place this month across all current and last generation platforms. The Alpha test was praised by players despite its limitations, now that the beta is coming we can get a better look at what Bungie has in store for us in September.

Since Sony has partnered up with Bungie for this game, Playstation 3 and PS4 owners will have access to the beta for longer. Starting on the 17th of July until the 28th, Playstation owners will be able to play the beta while Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners will be able to jump in on the 23rd of July until the 28th. However, the beta will be taken offline for a two day maintenance period, this maintenance time will take place on the 21st and 22nd of July, eating in to Sony's early access time a little.

Destiny is set to have three special edition releases which are now available for pre-order. The game will launch on the 9th of September. There is currently no concrete word on a PC release although Activision has revealed that the company is discussing it.

KitGuru Says: I've heard good things from those who played the Destiny alpha, hopefully the beta will impress us more. However, it is a shame that this game hasn't been announced for the PC yet, it seems like it would be a good fit.
