Deathloop is finally heading to Xbox consoles and Game Pass

Prior to Microsoft acquiring Bethesda, Sony had actually set up a partnership with the company, which would see two Bethesda games turn into PS5 console exclusives. The first game, Deathloop, launched in 2021 to great critical acclaim and soon, it looks like the PS5 exclusivity period will come to an end.

Trailers for the PS5 version of Deathloop had a disclaimer, stating that the game is only exclusive to the console until the 14th of September 2022. That happens to be today, and right on cue ads for Deathloop have now started appearing on the Xbox dashboard:

The ad indicates that Deathloop will be getting an Xbox release soon, and it will also end up launching straight onto Game Pass. Up to now, Deathloop has only been available on PS5, and PC via stores like Steam, but not through Xbox Game Pass for PC or the Windows Store. That will now change with the exclusivity period ending.

With the ad now appearing on the Xbox dashboard, we would expect an official announcement from the Xbox team very soon. This also improves the chances of Ghostwire: Tokyo heading to Xbox consoles and Game Pass in early 2023.

KitGuru Says: Deathloop had some high praise at launch from critics, but the game also dropped out of conversations pretty quickly. Now, the game has an opportunity to find a whole new audience.
