Dead Space creator’s new game ‘The Callisto Protocol’ releasing this year

When The Callisto Protocol was first announced, it was supposed to be a horror game set in the PUBG universe. This always seemed like an odd move, but fortunately, that decision was later reversed. Now, The Callisto Protocol is its own IP, and we'll be playing it before the end of the year.

Dead Space creator, Glen Schofield, is making his big return to horror games with The Callisto Protocol, developed by Striking Distance Studios and published by Krafton, the parent company behind PUBG.

The new trailer, shown during State of Play last night, gives us our first look at gameplay. In a blog post, Schofield added that he is “excited” to be returning to Sci-Fi survival horror once again.

The Callisto Protocol is set in the year 2320 on Jupiter's ‘dead moon', Callisto. The story will follow Jacob Lee, an inmate at Black Iron Prison who must try to survive as an outbreak takes place on the moon.

The Callisto Protocol will be launching on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as PC, on the 2nd of December.
