Datamine suggests Epic will make Fortnite Battle Royale no-build mode permanent

A few days ago, Epic Games debuted a no-build mode for Fortnite Battle Royale, disabling all building mechanics to create an even playing field. At the moment, this is a limited-time mode, planned to be removed in April. However, datamining suggests that Epic is planning on making its no-build mode permanent.

For the start of Fortnite’s new season, building has been switched off entirely. It’s not gone forever though, as Epic says it is “up to the Resistance to get it back”. In early April, building will be switched back on for Battle Royale, but a dedicated no-build mode might not be far behind.

According to Fortnite dataminer, Hypex, Epic has created UI elements and new loading screens that suggest that a dedicated no-build mode, and additional no-build modes, are on the way.

At the moment, Fortnite's no-build limited-time mode has been well received, making it more likely that Epic Games will consider keeping it around for the long haul.
