Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix patch 1.21 tackles additional quest bugs and crashes

It has been a few weeks since Cyberpunk 2077's massive Patch 1.2 update came out and while it did squash a lot of issues, there were still some lingering problems. Those are now being tackled with Hotfix 1.21, which also aims to make the game a bit more stable across all platforms.

Since this is a hotfix, the patch notes are much shorter compared to 1.2, with most bug fixes coming to quests and open world mechanics. Progression blocking issues in a number of quests have now been solved, and additional problems with police spawning behind players have also been tackled. Clipping issues with NPC clothing are fixed and players can now climb ladders out of water.

As for stability and performance, this patch improves the game's memory management, which should further reduce the number of crashes players experience. There is one console-specific fix and one Stadia-specific fix in place here too. Photo mode should now work properly on PS4 consoles and graphical issues with a specific bridge in an area of the map should now be fixed on Stadia.

Unfortunately, there is no timeline for the next major patch, but CD Projekt Red did recently respond to suggestions that they should abandon the game and focus on something new, with the studio's CEO ruling this out as an option and comitting to the game for the long haul.
