Corsair will soon sell PC desks with height adjustment and add-ons to suit all needs

The concept of Gaming Desks has been around for a few years now, intended to offer you all the space you need for a gaming PC, multiple monitors, your mouse and keyboard and any other accessories you may use regularly. Corsair is entering this market for the first time, unveiling the Platform:6 desk at Gamescom this week.

The Platform:6 is a large desk with a motor for adjustable height, so you can opt to sit or stand. Corsair has paid careful attention to ensure the desk can support its full range of products, with everything from peripherals to Elgato gear for a full streaming setup with lights.

The Platform supports today’s many diverse lifestyles, from the hardcore PC gamer to the remote worker in need of an organised workspace in the home. The desk measures six feet wide and can be shipped in multiple configurations, so buyers can opt for a different surface material, or make upgrades, such as an expandable rail system. Using Corsair's configuration tool, you can make sure the desk has all the features you need to be productive.

If a standing desk is something that you need in your life, then there is the option to add a motor system, allowing you to easily raise or lower the height of the desk with the press of a button. As you would expect, there is a cable management tray, allowing you to route your cables and keep them concealed. An in-desk storage cubby with USB Type-A and Type-C ports is also available. The Platform:6 also supports side extensions, so if you ever need more space, you can add it on later.

Adapters for Elgato Multi-Mount and Flex Arm products are available too, so you can mount Key Lights, a camera or a microphone directly onto the rail system for a complete setup for recording or going live.

The CORSAIR Platform:6 will be available from Corsair directly starting in Q4 2023 for a currently undisclosed price tag.

KitGuru Says: Like most motorised desks like this, I expect it to be expensive. With that said, if you have the money, it might be one of the most convenient purchases, as you can always pick up extensions and add-ons if your desk needs change.
