CD Projekt Red plans Cyberpunk 2077 Complete Edition bundle

It has been a long road but Cyberpunk 2077 is finally complete. The introduction of Patch 2.0, as well as the Phantom Liberty expansion, has marked the end of development. Just like The Witcher 3, there will be one final Cyberpunk 2077 release, packaging together all the content on offer.

CD Projekt Red has confirmed plans for Cyberpunk 2077: Complete Edition in an investor Q&A this month. The company's CCO, Michał Nowakowski, confirmed that a new edition is on the way, although the exact name is still undecided.

This is in keeping with past practices from CD Projekt Red. After the release of The Witcher 3's two expansions, a Game of the Year Edition was launched for all platforms, offering all of the content packaged together in one bundle.

While Cyberpunk 2077 did get high review scores from a lot of outlets at launch, the game's major performance problems meant that the game was never in consideration for GOTY awards. You could argue that the game in its current form would be deserving of one, but I think we can rule out the title Cyberpunk 2077: GOTY Edition.

KitGuru Says: Phantom Liberty has arrived so the release of a Complete Edition of Cyberpunk 2077 does make sense. It is also another opportunity for CD Projekt Red to try and draw more players in now that the game is widely considered to be fixed and content complete.
