Capcom puts an end to Exoprimal development but game will remain playable

Exoprimal didn't take off in the way that Capcom had hoped, but the company still put in a full year of support for the game, creating four seasons of post-launch content. Now, Capcom is ready to move on, with no more content updates planned.

Exoprimal launched in July 2023 to mixed reviews. As a result, the game did not become a popular seller at launch and despite several crossover events and other updates, the game has never surpassed 5000 concurrent players on Steam.

At the time of writing, the game's 24-hour peak player count is just 81. With not much of an audience left to cater to, Capcom has announced that it will no longer be creating new content for Exoprimal. However, the game will continue to remain online for the foreseeable future.

If you missed out on any of the limited-time skins from previous seasons and you still want to unlock them, then you are in luck. Capcom will rotate the content from seasons 1-4 every month from July onwards.

KitGuru Says: Did any of you play Exoprimal when it came out last year? Is this a case of a good game struggling to find an audience?
